Jacqueline Muratore, assistant directress for Faculty, Curriculum, and Planning at Mount St. Mary Academy, Watchung, announced Sept. 22, that the College Board has recognized 52 students as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars.
“The College Board offers a number of Advanced Placement courses and exams for students, allowing them to engage in college level work and the possibility of earning college credit or course placement,” she said. “In May of 2023, Mount St. Mary Academy administered 303 AP exams in 22 subjects to 130 students. Of the 2023 AP Exam administrations, over 85% of Mount St. Mary Academy students achieved a score of 3 or higher (scores are out of 5).”
“Additionally, 28 graduates from the Class of 2023 earned recognition as AP Scholars, AP Scholars with Honors,” stated Mrs. Muratore.
“Congratulations not only to our AP Scholars but also to our AP teachers,” she said as she invited each of them to stand to be applauded by the school community. “Each year, our teachers dedicate themselves to provide students with the best education in their AP courses and preparation for the AP exams.”
