The Metuchen N.J. Chapter of the National Pastoral Musicians Association will host Father Ricky Manalo, CSP, in a seminar entitled “The Liturgy of Life: Experiencing God in Everyday Life,” Sat. June 24, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, N.J., 08887.
During this time when the U.S. Catholic Church is celebrating the National Eucharistic Revival, Father Manalo will engage participants in discussion, reflection, and prayer, inspired by his award-winning book “The Liturgy of Life.” He will also present some of his own compositions highlighting Eucharistic themes.
A Paulist priest, liturgical composer, theologian, and missionary, Father Manalo speaks and writes frequently about liturgy, culture, music and the intersection of sociology and religious practices. Considering that due to our fast-paced lifestyles, we often relegate God to convenient locations and times, he asks:
• How can we retrieve an image of God who remains ever present during every moment of our lives, while balancing the demands of everyday life?
• How do our everyday worship practices interrelate with our Sunday Eucharistic celebrations?
Metuchen NPM invites liturgical ministers, religious educators, parish leaders – and all people of God – to experience Father Ricky Manalo’s dynamic presentation. This seminar is not just for musicians, but for all who are looking to grow in their understanding of the Eucharist as the source and summit of our lives.
If you have ever felt that the Sunday Eucharist is disconnected from your daily life, this Seminar is for you. The seminar fee of $45 includes a light breakfast. Register at NPMMetuchen.org.
